The short version: Wordplay has no ads, no tracking, and no sign-up. Your word sets, custom words, photos, and your child’s progress all stay on your device and never leave it.
Wordplay is a children’s learning app designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your family’s data belongs to you, and we treat it that way.
No Advertising
Wordplay does not contain any advertising. We do not display ads of any kind, and we never will. We do not share any information with advertisers. There are no ad trackers, ad networks, or sponsored content in this app.
Data We Collect
Wordplay stores all of your data locally on your device. Your word sets, custom words, photos, and learning progress never leave your device.
The only data we collect is anonymous crash logs. These contain no personal information, no photos, no words you’ve entered, and no information about your child. Crash logs help us identify and fix bugs to make the app more reliable.
Photos
When you add photos to word cards, those images are stored only on your device. We never access, upload, or analyze your photos.
Children’s Privacy
Wordplay is designed for use by children under parental supervision. We comply with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Third-Party Services
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services beyond anonymous crash reporting.
